(Halifax, Nova Scotia) - The Kubota Cup makes its return to Halifax highlighting the final weekend of this year's Maritime Fall Fair at Exhibition Park from October 6 to 15. The line up for the October 14th Kubota Cup Grand Prix will read like a 'who's who' of Canadian show jumping legends. The Kubota Cup has a Purse of $35,000 with an additional $30,000 in awards and prizes. High profile jumpers will also be competing against rookies and veterans for not only the Kubota cup Grand Prix but for elusive points to declare this years Kubota Cup Eastern Canadian Champion.

John Pearce and Archie Bunker, defending 2005 Champions, are holding on by a slim lead over rookie Lauren Hunkin who is tied for second with Pearce and Champagne. Sitting in a tight third is Jonathan Millar and Noble 1, blocking Pearce and Urioso who are sitting pretty in fourth. Undetterred by the Pearce 'boys' defensive line is Mike Grinyer playing his own game of round up and hold'em blocking Beth Underhill's game which is to seek the loop-hole and cashing in on the leader board.

We will keep the news posted here on the board as we get closer to game-day.
