Ottawa, ON – March 11, 2007 – ATCO Group has become a major sponsor of the Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series, a national eight-city show jumping competition formed two years ago to promote and develop equestrian sport across Canada.
The Series will begin on a high note March 31st when title sponsor Kubota Canada Ltd. and ATCO Group present the $75,000 ATCO-KUBOTA CUP Centennial Grand Prix as part of the 100th Anniversary celebration of the venerable Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.
In welcoming the Calgary-based ATCO Group into the Kubota Cup Series, John Gilliland, National Marketing Manager commented,”expanding corporate partnership is key to the long-term success of this newly-created Series which brings top Canadian athletes to a variety of Canadian cities, stretching from Richmond, British Columbia to Halifax, Nova Scotia. ATCO Group is also contributing special human interest segments for the television show ‘Along For The Ride’, the program that follows the Kubota Cup Series and produced by Generator Productions and Dark Horse Films. The ‘Striving for Excellence’ segments will feature eight high performance Canadian equestrian athletes and is produced by Spruce Meadows Television which is guaranteed to add informative and entertaining snippets on Canadians most loved equestrians.
The Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series was launched in 2005 and hosted in eight cities coast to coast.
