Ottawa, Ontario – Canadian Show Jumping Series, Inc is proud to announce the addition of a special Award of Distinction presented by Cavalor Canada, a division of Pegase Medical Inc., for equestrian athletes who compete throughout Canada, in the 2007 Kubota Cup Canadian Show Jumping Series.
In a move to recognize the athletes (both human and horse), which perform week in and week out during the national circuit of Equestrian Show Jumping, CAVLAOR Canada has created an award of distinction and will be presenting the Cavalor MVP Athlete Award to competitors in the Kubota Cup Grand Prix. This is a first for Equestrian sport that a MVP (Most Valuable Player) will be presented to Canadian equestrians.
The Cavalor MVP award is granted to an athlete based on the results of a vote taken amongst peers and colleagues during each Kubota Cup event. The Cavalor MVP will be announced during the Grand Prix and the winner will be formally presented with a certificate of achievement and incentive award during the closing ceremonies of the Kubota Cup Grand Prix.
During the festivities of the ATCO-KUBOTA CUP Centennial Grand Prix hosted at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fairs 100th Anniversary, this past March, the first rider to receive the CAVALOR MVP ATHLETE AWARD was Karen Cudmore. Karen rides, works, mentors others and is always willing to help where ever and when ever there is a need.
Francis Berger, from Pegase Medical, and trainer of successful show jumping riders and horses, said "I am very proud to be part of two world renowned companies working together, such as Cavalor and Kubota, in promoting the equestrian sport in Canada. We share in the excitement of developing top athletes, both horse and human, by assisting in promotion of Canada’s best. We are happy to be providing high quality products available now to the Canadian equestrian market and with Cavalor's expertise and solutions we will a help to horsemen across the country. For our first Cavalor MVP, we are honoured to have Karen Cudmore, as she is an outstanding role model for everyone. Congratulation Karen!”
