Yann Candele rode into Ottawa with winning on his mind as he faced down 33 entries in the Kubota Cup Grand Prix hosted by Hayesco Company and the National Capital Show Jumping Tournaments August 17, 2008.

Candele (CAN) romped home in first place with the young horse, Game Ready. Peter Leone (USA) pushed into the second place win and Candele held his Kubota Cup Series lead with Mustique, Sue Grange's bay mare by pulling into third overall in the eastern division Series mid summer qualifier.

Setting the stage for the third and final Kubota Cup qualifier in Halifax Nova Scotia, Yann and Mustique can not sit on their laurels as strong competition has moved onto the leader board and booked their entries for the October 18th Maritime Fall Fair. Only 100 points separate the top 6 contendars for the Kubota Cup Eastern Canadian Champion title.
